Recently, I attended a photography workshop sponsored by Arizona Highways Photoscapes. The workshop was held at the White Stallion Ranch west of Tuscon, AZ. The images we captured were not just about horses and their riders but more about trying to tell the story we were seeing through the viewfinder. For the wrangler, their days started @5am and ended way past dark-thirty. What surprised me was the number of wranglers who were themselves “guests” who came to the ranch each season to volunteer to work the horses and do all the chores needed on a guest ranch. Below is a series of images of several of the wranglers and the activity they do to provide a “once in a lifetime” visit for guests who fly in from many different countries to experience our way of life.
